Free Family Concert Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month
Literacy and Family Day at the Park

University Park Stage (located on the CSU Stanislaus Stockton Campus, California St.)

As part of the Literacy and Family Day at the Park, the Stockton Symphony will perform a free Family Concert to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with works by Latin American and Mexican composers. The program will include Mosaico Mexicano, Danzón No. 2 by Arturo Márquez, and some of the best known songs from Latin America including Brazil, La Cumparsita, El Cóndor Pasa, El Cumbanchero, and Granada.


Andrés Franco, guest conductor

Andrés Franco is currently Associate Conductor of the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra, Principal Conductor of the Caminos del Inka Ensemble and Music Director of the Philharmonia of Kansas City. Mr. Franco has been increasingly active in the United States and South America, appearing with several orchestras including the Oregon Bach Festival Orchestra, Corpus Christi Symphony, Medellin Philharmonic and EAFIT Symphony.
