Designed to enhance your symphony experience, preconcert talks are far more than a mere “lecture” – these fascinating discussions will take you on a journey of discovery! Preconcert talks will bring to life the music and the composer by providing you with a deeper understanding of the creative process, inspiration and passion of the work being performed.
Whether exploring the historical and social context of a musical piece or examining the drama, heartache or joy that inspired the composer, Preconcert Talks will leave you enthused, energized and more ready than ever for the evenings concert!
The perfect primer for our Classics Series, these lively informal talks are open to all Classics Series ticket holders. Preconcert Talks take place in the auditorium at 5:15 prior to each Classics concert and seating is open for the talk only. When the Preconcert Talk ends, patrons will be able to assume their assigned seats for the concert. Come early and get the backstory on the evening’s program.
For more detailed information about the concert, music and composer, be sure to check out Stockton Symphony’s Program Notes page. (Will be available for all Classics concerts in late July)
