The Centennial Season opens as a musical birthday celebration for the Stockton Symphony, filled with bold fanfare, poetry, jazz-age sparkle, and American masterworks. Highlights include music by Peter Jaffe, a commemorative poem by Tama Brisbane, Gershwin’s An American in Paris and Rhapsody in Blue featuring Van Cliburn Gold Medal winner Jon Nakamatsu, and the world premiere of Chris Brubeck’s Rhythms of the Range with the recorded voice of Dave Brubeck.
