Musorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition creates fascinating connections between sight and sound. From a ballet of chicks in their shells to the folklore character of Baba Yaga and the Great Gate of Kiev, this brilliant collection sparks the imagination. Along the way we explore together the music’s structure, captivating rhythms and melodies, colorful symphonic textures, and informative tie-ins with literature, history, and mathematics.
